Hatteras Island Futbol Club – Recreational Futsal League

Join us this winter for the Hatteras Island Futbol Club’s Recreational Futsal League, a fun and fast-paced indoor soccer program designed to help players grow their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game! All sessions take place on Saturdays at the Cape Hatteras Secondary School (CHSS) gyms, with schedules coordinated around local rec basketball.

Season Dates

January 10, 2026 – February 21, 2026

Sessions are held every Saturday throughout the season. WE SCHEDULE AROUND ALL BASKETBALL EVENTS

Co-Ed Grades K–2

Co-Ed Grades 3–5

Girls Grades 6–8

Boys Grades 6–8

Girls Grades 9–12

Boys Grades 9–12

Program Format

Using the Mojo app, we will be able to determine who will be in attendance for the tournament weeks so that way the teams can be as fair as possible and we can ensure that there are enough for each team every week.

1. Training & Development Phase (First Half of the Season)

Players will participate in structured training focusing on ball mastery, footwork, movement, and small-sided game concepts. Each session ends with live play to reinforce what they’ve learned.

2. In-House Round Robin Tournament (Second Half of the Season)

Using insights gathered during the training phase, we will form balanced and fair teams for an exciting in-house, recreational round robin tournament. This ensures that all players enjoy competitive, supportive, and evenly matched games.

Why Futsal?

Futsal—an indoor version of soccer played with a smaller, low-bounce ball—helps players develop quick decision-making, enhanced foot skills, and improved ball control in tight spaces. It’s a perfect winter sport that keeps players active and engaged.
